FINANCIAL AUDIT iCAT - VERSION 1
The Financial Audit iCAT is an ISSAI implementation Need Assessment Tool that is intended to be used for mapping current audit practice to the requirements of ISSAIs and to ascertain the need for implementation. The iCAT contains the requirements of ISSAIs at level 4 of the ISSAI framework (audit engagement level) with specific reference to paragraphs of ISSAI requirements. This iCAT is to be used after the SAI has mapped its audit universe in terms of three audit streams.
The IDI has followed its Protocol for Quality Assurance of Global Public Goods to develop Version 1 of this iCAT. In developing and finalising this version, we have duly considered the comments received on exposure draft Version 0, which was exposed for a period of 90 days.
